We use the construction verb ir + a + infinitive to speak about intentions or plans we have for the very near future.

Mamá: ¿Qué tal si vamos al parque esta tarde y hacemos un picnic?
How about if we go to the park later and have a picnic?

Abuelita: ¡Es una buena idea! ¿a qué horas quieres salir?
That is a good idea! What time do you want to leave?

Mamá: A las tres más o menos, ¿vale?
Around three, ok?

Abuelita: Si está bien.
Very good.
