Tomás: ¡Hola! ¿Qué tal el fin de semana?
Hello! How was your weekend?

Pedro: Muy bien. He estado en casa de unos amigos, y me lo he pasado fenómeno... ¿Y tú?
Very good. I've been at a friend's house, and I've had a great time ... And you?

Tomás: Yo me he quedado en casa. He ido al cine con Mari Carmen. Ha sido un fin de semana muy agradable.
I have stayed at home. I have gone to the movies with Mari Carmen. It has been a very pleasant weekend.

Pedro: Pues, no lo parece. ¡Tienes una cara!
Well, it does not seem so. You have a (sad) face!

Tomás: Es que esta mañana he perdido la cartera con el carnet de identidad, la chequera y 5.000 pesetas.
It is because this morning I lost the wallet with the identity card, the checkbook and 5,000 pesetas.

Pedro: ¡Vaya hombre! ¿Tú crees que te la han robado? ¿Qué vas a hacer ahora? ¿Vas a denunciar el robo a la policía?
You don't say man! Do you think they stole it? What are you going to do now? Are you going to report the robbery to the police?

Tomás: Ya he ido a la policía a declarar la pérdida. No han estado muy simpáticos.
I have already gone to the police to declare the loss. They have not been very nice.
