Evaluation from diana:
My husband and I attended Zamora for 2 weeks and had a great time. We have middle-aged brains but, with immense patience, our lively and enthusiastic teachers coaxed some real Spanish out of us. We made true friends there with both teachers and fellow students. The setting is quiet and green and lovely, making it a pleasure to go to school each day. Four hours of one-on-one is intense and exhausting but the curriculum is designed to keep you at ease and keep you interested...some of my most productive Spanish-speaking came when my teacher and I took to the streets to ramble around town. Our first homestay was not so good...on the only busy, loud street in Antigua, but we asked for a change and had a much quieter, more pleasant home within a day. The staff at Zamora is warm and welcoming, fun and friendly, and I can't recommend the place highly enough.
Evaluation from Maarten Van Roy:
Knowing nothing when I came to Zamora and knowing a lot when I leave. They have been very flexible and nice for us. Mette (de Holanda)

I´ve had a great time at Academia Zamora! I studied at this school for 6 weeks and I learned talking in Spanish quite well. The teachers are very kind, enthousiastic and interested in their students. Often you go out with your teacher during your classes to visit the market, churches or other nice places in Antigua. During these little trips you practice your spanish conversation. Zamora is a small school that gives you the feeling of one big family. Often the school organizes excursions like a little Maya-village and Cerro de la Cruz, the place where you have an amazing view over Antigua. I really can recommend this school to everybody whose thinking of learning spanish in Antiqua! Lisette Rikkers (Holanda) April 2011

Evaluation from ojiwankenobi:
I had an excellent instructor (Elsa) at Zamora. My wife was less fortunate, so she joined my class and. . . we ended our month of instruction speaking (some) Spanish and enthusiastic about wanting to return. We had lots of laughs! Accommodations = basic, comfortable w. private bath at home of local family. Can customize your meals there if you prefer fruit, veggies, etc. Other "students" lodging there provide opps for language practice and a source of useful travel tips. Wide age range among guests (67 <-> 18). Comparing our experience to other tales we heard makes us think we were lucky to be at Zamora!
