Overview

The word otro means other or another.
As usual, gender and number must agree.

singular
   otro (masculine)
   otra (feminine)

plural
   otros (masculine)
   otras (feminine)

  • Indefinite articles like un, unos, una, unas
    are NOT used with the word OTRO

    Yo tengo otro carro.
          I have another car.
    Yo necesito otra almohada.
          I need another pillow.
    Hay trenes más rápidos que otros.
          There are trains (more) faster than others.
    ¿Oye otras voces?
          Hear other voices?
